This is my first writing course at UCI, I hope to improve my writing skills and learn new techniques. Disney was something I was very fond of as a young child and now I get to see how it influences the social construct of gender along with improving in writing. I will have assignments such as a portfolio, essay, exploratory writing and reflection blogs to improve my writing. Also, as the quarter goes I will be able to learn new techniques and see different text styles, not just writing but videos as well. This course will require peer review that will give me the chance to see different perspectives.
